What information we collect from you and why?

When you contact CKBB Ltd with a view to booking an appointment, requesting information or asking us to design your home living space, we ask for the following personal information;

  • address (postal and property where works are required)
  • contact telephone numbers
  • email address

We use this data to provide you with a quotation or information required.

If you engage our services for your project, we create your contract and confirm all aspects of your installation in detail.

We continue to hold your data should you require further quotations or as a reference on completed installations to enable us to offer you the best after sales service we can.

Who we share your information with and why

We do not use the data from this customer management system to sell or transfer your data for marketing purposes.

CKBB Ltd works with a number of trusted suppliers, and businesses in order to provide you high quality products and services, such as delivery companies, your chosen product suppliers, trades people.

 

Delivery Partners
In order for you to receive your goods, CKBB works with various delivery partners. Again, we only pass limited information to them in order to ensure delivery of your items.

 

Supplier / Trade Partners
CKBB Ltd works with a number of trusted partners who supply products and services on our behalf. We will only pass on the minimum amount of personal information needed in order to fulfil the orders you place or provide a service on your behalf.  Some of the suppliers we work with, require your personal data in order to commence your guarantee or certificate of works for the goods or services supplied.

CKBB Ltd works with business who support our website and other business systems.

Accounting procedures
CKBB Ltd keeps your personal data in regard to any financial transaction for a period of 6 years as required by HMRC.  After such time, your data is destroyed in an appropriate manner.

Your Rights
Your personal data is protected by legal rights, which include your rights to object to our processing of your personal data; request that your personal data is erased or corrected; request access to your personal data.

How long we keep your information

If we collect your personal information, the length of time we retain it is determined by a number of factors including the purpose for which we use that information and our obligations under other laws.

We keep your data on our customer management system should you contact us for an updated quotation or to provide you with good after sales advice.  This database gives us access to confirm what products and services were supplied to you at point of sale.

We may need your personal information to establish, bring or defend legal claims and for accounting purposes. For this purpose, we will always retain your personal information for 6 years, after the date any sales and purchase invoices are no longer needed by us for any of the purposes and the files will be destroyed.

What are your rights

  • Right of access –to request access to your personal information and information about how we process it
  • Right to rectification –to have your personal information corrected if it is inaccurate and to have incomplete personal information completed

All pre, current and post manual files are stored in a locked environment

All electronic data is kept in a secure, password protect environment

All filed hard copy data is kept in a secured environment

Manual data is destroyed after a period of 6 years

 

Review in the event of a breach

The Data Protection Officer is responsible for reporting a breach to the Local Authority
